Real Estate Sales and Marketing

This program designed to prepare students for a career in real estate marketing, particularly commercial and residential real estate brokerage, property management, and real estate market analysis.

A Major in Marketing with an Emphasis in Real Estate requires 24 hours beyond the College of Business core as follows:

Required courses (15 hours)

MKT 403 – Marketing Research 3 hours
MKT 405 – Consumer Behavior 3 hours
MKT 609 – Marketing Programs 3 hours
RE 310 – Principles of Real Estate 3 hours
One of the following:
MKT 407 – Marketing for Service and Nonprofit Organizations 3 hours
MKT 608 – Selling & Sales Force Management 3 hours

Electives (9 hours)*

Nine hours of upper-division (300 or above) Real Estate courses 9 hours

* No more than 3 credit hours of RE 481 (cooperative education) may be used to satisfy the elective component of this degree.
