Real Estate Sales and Marketing
The major in marketing with an emphasis in real estate is designed to prepare students for a career in real estate marketing, particularly commercial and residential real estate brokerage, property management, and real estate market analysis.
A Major in Marketing with an Emphasis in Real Estate requires 24 hours beyond the College of Business core as follows:
Required courses (15 hours)
- MKT 403 – Marketing Research
- MKT 405 – Consumer Behavior
- MKT 609 – Marketing Programs
- RE 310 – Principles of Real Estate
One of the following:
- MKT 607 – Brand Planning and Promotion
- MKT 608 – Selling & Sales Force Management
Electives (9 hours)*
- Nine hours of upper-division (300 or above) Real Estate courses
* RE 481/ RE 481N may not be used to satisfy the elective component of this degree.
