Housed within the
W. Frank Barton School of Business, the Center for Real
Estate's mission to strive to be the premier provider of real estate related news, data, research,
and analysis for Wichita and the State of Kansas. In
order to fulfill its mission the Center engages in a number of research, community
networking, and student support activities, as defined by the Center's Mission
Statement:
The WSU Center for Real Estate enhances the
business environment and quality of life in Kansas communities through research
and analysis of real estate markets and related policy issues. By providing the
depth of information expected by investors in a competitive global economy, the
Center elevates and promotes Kansas real estate markets.
To accomplish this, the Center:
· Collects,
organizes and distributes publicly-available data on Kansas real estate market;
· Provides
independent, expert analysis of area real estate markets, conditions, and
related policy issues;
· Conducts
and encourages high-quality academic research on real estate-related topics and
applies this research to develop practical resources that benefit real estate
practitioners, policy makers and society at large;
· Helps
students connect with area real estate professionals & organizations; and
· Facilitates
cooperative relationships among various real estate-related industries. |
