Associate Professor of Accountancy, Larry Jones Faculty Fellow and Center for Real Estate Research Fellow
Atul Rai is a Research Fellow with the Center for Real Estate and an Associate Professor of Accountancy in the W. Frank Barton School of Business.
Through his Center for Real Estate Research Fellowship, Dr. Rai intends to student the sales of residential properties and examine economic differences between properties sold through listings in MLS and those sold directly as for-sale-by-owners (FSBO). Ex-ante, we expect differences in these two groups with respect to types of properties and their price level, with lower end houses being more likely to be sold by owners.
