Nearly every user of real estate—buyers and sellers, mortgage lenders, investors, tax assessors, insurance adjusters, government officials—requires an unbiased estimate of a property's true market value, and that is the job of an appraiser. Appraisers play an important role appraising everything from single-family homes, farmland, retail shops, and offices.

If you're interested in a career in real estate appraisal, then we encourage you to initiate contact with an appraisal company by send your cover letter and resume to area appraiser. In addition to completing coursework, and appraiser's license will require you to gain work experience under the guidance of a licensed appraiser (click here for licensing information).
