Home sales in the Kansas City area totaled 3,153 units in April, down 8.9 percent from the same month in 2016. Year-to-date, 10,371 homes have sold, down from 10,511 over the same period in 2016. The average price of homes that sold in April was $220,283, compared to $211,634 in April 2016. Homes that sold in April were on the market an average of 57 days and sold for 97.6 percent of their original asking prices. Note: Statistics for dates prior to October 2012 reflect unrevised figures as posted by the Heartland MLS. More recent statistics reflect revised data and may not be comparable to those prior to October 2012.
